Fun For The Whole Family

Syttende Mai - on May 17th members and guests gather at 10 a.m. to raise the Norwegian flag and enjoy a Frokost (Norwegian style breakfast) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rhinelander.

Puppeteer Outreach Program - Once upon a time in (March) a group of puppeteers from Nordlandet Lodge 5-620 performed a puppet play for Trinity Lutheran School in Minocqua, WI. Their play was based on a book written by Princess Martha Louise, "Why Kings and Queen Don't Wear Crowns". Students participated by helping to build props and reciting parts and they were excited to play with these big full bodied puppets.
A Work Shop was held on June 16th this year for the Heritage members and friends.  
This Scandinavian “hands on” afternoon featured arts, crafts, dance, puppetry and a water melon spitting contest.  The following classes were offered: Weaving, Norwegian Dancing, Swedish Cooking, Story Telling and a troll Puppet Play. Teachers included: Pat Anderson, Jeanne Julseth-Heinrich, May-Britt Larson and a mysterious troll hunter who led the children on a troll hunt. A “piknik” for parents and members of the lodge was held at 5:30 p.m. and the kids demonstrated their newly acquired skills.

7th Annual Harvest Festival Bake Sale  -  will be held in Lake Tomahawk on September 18, 2010....featuring good Scandinavian baked goods, including lefse, krumkake, julekake, rosettes, sandbakkelse, swedish almond cakes, breads, pies, and a variety of cookies and bars.      

Annual Julefest - a sumptuous holiday dinner celebration with ethnic food, music and dancing will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rhinelander, WI  at 12:00 p.m. on 12/4/08
